Victorian Factory Transformed into Contemporary Living – The Brassworks
The Brassworks, situated near Marble Arch in a mews setting, underwent a striking transformation from a Victorian factory to modern residential apartments. Managed by Peter Deer and Associates, the project involved comprehensive electrical and mechanical services to remodel the building. Central to the design is an internal courtyard on the 1st floor, adorned with a bronze water sculpture visible from all living rooms, creating a serene focal point. Natural daylight floods the mews, enhancing the vibrant and bright atmosphere throughout. Each apartment features its own external space, while two penthouses boast expansive rooftop gardens. The newly constructed private car park incorporates a creative brass tubing motif, honoring the building’s musical heritage.
Our Approach
The management approach for The Brassworks prioritized preserving historical elements while integrating contemporary residential comforts. Belsize Architects collaborated closely with Peter Deer and Associates to ensure seamless execution of full mechanical and electrical services. Attention to detail in courtyard design, natural lighting enhancement, and bespoke external spaces reflects a commitment to enhancing resident experience and community aesthetics.
